Ancient India has several gems hidden in its lap, out of which astrology, marine science, palmistry etc. shine the brightest. Vastu Shastra is one amongst them. As the name itself suggests, Vastu Shastra is the traditional science of architecture and describes the significance of any object (vastu), including its direction, layout, and alignment. In simpler words, one can say that Vastu Shastra plays an important role in enriching our lives with the help of which we can build our homes, offices, temples, educational institutions etc. as per the directional alignments, in such a way that it fills our life with success and prosperity. In today's time, it is exclusively used in the field of architecture.

Importance of Vastu Shastra

Whenever we construct any home or shop, we need to take a special note of some important aspects, with which we can enrich our lives and get rid of various problems and issues. Vastu Shastra helps us in identifying the patterns while constructing the office or house and describes the architectural science through the verses of astrology.

Whenever we plan on constructing any building, it gets influenced by all five elements (Air, Water, Earth, Fire, and Sky). A slight imbalance between these elements can cause new problems to arise in our lives. Additionally, living or working in such a place where there is a disparity between elements can adversely affect us.

The significance of Vastu Shastra can be heard and seen in the ancient Agni Puranas, Matsya Purana, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita etc. In addition to this, renowned sages such as Maharishi Vashishth, Kashyap, Garg, Atri, and Indra, Vishvakarma and Vasudeva have spoken and recognized this tool widely.
